View SlideshowAnoyira Nicolas & Maria’s Cottages - Small, quiet and picturesque, the village of Anoyira lies halfway between Paphos and Limassol, both being about thirty minutes drive away. Lying 170 metres above sea level, the village is reached via a scenic road.
Just outside Anoyira is the village spring, where cool, fresh water has travelled under ground from the Troodos mountains. Also close by are the ruins of an old Byzantine monastery, where traces of hand-painted frescoes can still be seen. Abandoned in the19th century, it is currently being excavated in the hope that many treasures will berevealed. The village has a well-stocked grocery shop and a taverna for a typical Cypriot meal. There is a family winery, where you can sample the local wine, and two swimming pools for public use. Two unspoilt beaches, Pissouri and Evdhimou, are within ten minutes drive and Aphrodite Hills Golf Course can be reached in just 15 minutes.
Situated in the centre of Anoyira Village, Nicolas & Maria’s cottages contain apartments that have been renovated from a 300 year old stone built house in traditional style but including modern facilities. The apartments open out onto a quiet picturesque courtyard with its Kleftiko oven, pitharia and old well.
